Retrogressing Bees in a Top-bar Hive
One of the goals of top-bar hive beekeeping is to allow honey bees to behave as naturally as possible. This appears usually to mean constructing slightly smaller sized brood cells in combĀ built from scratch. The process of allowing honey bees to shift from the larger cell size dictated by aritificial foundation to the smaller, natural cell size, is called retrogression.
